Today, Zimbabwe’s very own, Kudakwashe Chiwandire (@kchiwandire_official) is the best female boxer in Africa. Just four years ago she was a hairdresser on the streets of Harare. Her journey has been far from pleasant. This project was made to raise awareness of her achievements but also to shed light on her experience as a single mother and victim of gender-based violence. She is competing for the ‘WBC’ world championship belt on the 1st of October versus a Mexican fighter named Zulina Munoz. The fight will be held at HICC in Harare (and be broadcast on DSTV).
