Ambitious in her craft, yet fluctuating in the belief of a fruitful future as a solo artist, Nasra unapologetically wiped the slate clean and adopted the shiny new moniker Maina Doe (pronounced Ma-yee-na) for the release of what was quickly to be recognised as her highly-acclaimed debut single ‘Delusion’ in September 2019. Rather than spit-balling a series of egotistical musings and proclamations, ‘Delusion’ mentors the recipient in the embodiment of a warrior; identifying restraints and proposing to either take a brave leap into unchartered waters, or fall into a cushioned safety net; failing to unveil any significant change.
