Vortex Overkill is Energetic Disco Girl's seventh album and the first album in Chapter 2. This is Energetic Disco Girl's first new album after a three-year hiatus, and this is a moment you all have been waiting for! Before that, her first new release after this hiatus was "Milky Way Wishes", which was the first of two singles from this album, with the other one being "Last Iron of Sanity". This album is Energetic Disco Girl's darkest album so far. Almost all the songs within the album are darkwave songs. Sharon Malone's backing vocals, used in the previous two albums, also return in this new album.
