During the 2022 LifePAD Summer Academy at the BNI Youth Centre, University of Ibadan, our teenagers were given the task of harnessing their passion for music and newly acquired digital skills to lead a campaign against the single use of plastic in their community. They composed the song ‘Don’t Throw It Away’ and made a music video. Beyond the campaign, #DontThrowItAway is to be localized in their schools as an environmental education project on the proper disposal, #upcycling , and #recycling of plastic waste.
