Benign Neglect is a project addressing one of the greatest problems facing this country: the systematic and political neglect of the needs of Black Americans. In the wake of the 2020 presidential election, the growing sentiment from the Black grassroots is a call for reparations exclusively for descendants of American chattel slavery. Many times when these discussions are brought up, people tend not to believe that there are entities that OPENLY display disdain about the issue. This audio features true words from all sides of the issue and speaks to an even truer sentiment: the Black community has come for what is theirs. It is truly a new day.
