L.A. VanGogh Drawback (Mixtape)

L.A. VanGogh

L.A. VanGogh has crafted an homage to the mixtape era, and all those artists who were a part of it to make it the memorable part of music history it stands to be. The name Drawback at first has a stunted impression, but in reality is meant to express the projects intention to “draw” people’s attention “back” to a significant time in music history. Remaining true to the spirit of mixtape mentality, the project is a true reflection of everything VanGogh has to offer. Tracks display his introspective and creative bars that complement clearly recognizable beats, like Kendrick Lamar’s “DNA”(titled “AND Backwardz” on the project), while a majority of others sit comfortably in his smooth R&B-side laying down beautiful melodies that tenderly traverse through tracks like the opener “No Mas Juegos”.
