Today is the birthday of my best friend & motivator Marc "JahGuideMe" Williams. This song stemmed from a one take freestyle I did while driving on August 7. I didn't know the beat I was flowing over until I was done. (I usually press record on my phone as a beat starts so the journey is unexpected for me). Driving a week later, I was listening back to my phone recordings (as I often do). The freestyle came up & realised how complete it sounded & how natural the context & content was considering it wasn't planned. Hearing how I mentioned Marc, my brain clicked & I remembered his birthday was only a few days away. I completed the few words that were mumbled & voiced this 2 days ago. This is my gift to Marc, as without him I'm pretty sure I wouldn't be pursuing music. I know he'd enjoy this.
