This song is about the aftermath of a breakup I went through, when I wanted to believe that things between me and this ex were still the way they used to be. One night I threw ‘The Truman Show’ on the TV, and the parallels between the fantasy world that Christof creates in the movie and the fake reality I was letting myself believe in were too obvious to ignore. Watching that movie snapped me out of this false hope that she was still coming back and also inspired me to write this song.
