Enjoy You Life is for Africa. It is a deliberate compilation of nostalgia.
To create this project Donli listened to works from all around Africa, from Danfo Drivers,
Tony Tetuila, Awilo Longomba to Brenda Fassie, Fatoumata Diawara, Oumou Sangaré,
Angélique Kidjo. The soundscape of the album is very definitive of old Africa. It is influenced
by different sounds and eras of African music.
From the release of “Classic” Donli has been intentional with the mood she is setting for the
Enjoy Your Life Album. She had a sense of awakening as an African woman and dwelled in
what it meant to be truly Pan - African, from this clarity, she was able to make music that
expresses this new identity as Lady Donli; A Proud, African Woman.
The aesthetic of the album also conveys this nostalgia, with the cover art being reminiscent
