A Dirge is mournful poem or piece of music composed or performed as a memorial to a dead person. This Project is a compilation of 5 songs that discusses Death as viewed in some Ghanaian communities. This Project doesn't glorify sadness but celebrates Humanity. Although it seeks to mourn the dead, it educates on the essence of life. It is sad to lose loved ones but we accept that their tone is up and celebrate their time and achievement on earth. The projects draws inspiration from personal experiences with death of family members, friends and also compositions by Highlife legends Like King Onyina, CST Amankwah, Amakye Dede, Rex Gyamfi amongst others.
