It has been over a year and a half since Alabama rap sensations, K.L.U.B. Monsta, released their critically-acclaimed Separate But Sequel. Over said time, in addition to carrying on the tradition of classic southern hip-hop, the rap trio—J-Dotta, Joshua, and Kel-Ricks, allowed their lyrical skills to evolve, meanwhile cultivating an overall sound that broadened their horizon. It was only natural that in creating their long-awaited project, CANVAS, K.L.U.B. Monsta would collaborate with one of the most respect DJs in the south, DJ Wally Sparks.
