South African artist Ishmael Maloma (1996.06.20) also known as Kernvas blac, spent a greater portion of his childhood in a small town in Limpopo called Schoonoord, living under the guardianship of his grandparents. Before moving to a small township in Gauteng called Diepsloot, in the year 2005.
It is in this lively and robust township - situated on the outskirts of of the Johannesburg city, where he discovered his passion for music, which inspired him and couple of his like minded highschool friends to form their frist hip hop group. The transition into converting his passion into career happened in the year 2016, which led to a couple collaborations, single releases and later, the release of his first music compilation titled Far.From.Over in 2018.
He draws his creative inspiration from a diverse group of creatives mainly J.Cole, and uses their creation to help inform his creativity
