Born 8 April 1998 in Orange Bay, Portland, Jamaica, Kerissa Spencer immigrated to Toronto, Canada in August 2014 in pursuit of becoming an international singer and songwriter. Kerissa’s career started as early as 6 years old when she started writing poems and spoken words. Amazingly, she entered and won the teen competition for Ms. St. Ann, Jamaica in 2009 and Ms. Ocho Rios in 2010. Kerissa grow up around music, as her mom, Charmaine Williams, also loved singing and introduced her to a wide genre of music and artists ranging from Tupac Shakur to Beres Hammond to Luther Vandross, who she greatly idolizes. Sadly, Charmaine passed away when Kerissa was only 12 years old leaving her heartbroken and even more determined to accomplish her dreams and to make her mom proud.
