'Truce Notes' is a combination of violent barrages, and accepted anger honed in on that reckless impulse to say "fuck it." Inspired by growing societal tension, regressive government policies, and forced moral injury, the record took full shape after Justin Christopher witnessed a controlled fire in a local Texas state park. As the track progresses in its exploration of moral injury, that same recklessness that in the beginning faced outward suddenly switches, qued by an even grittier beat composition, to face inward. Things turn personal as the artist explores his own nature and how he can continue to exist in a society whose moral ground doesn't align with his own.
