IT’S NOT ALWAYS ABOUT YOU chronicles the unpacking of our traumas and the understanding of how they contribute to our mental, emotional, and moral shortcomings, whether tangible or intangible. From start to finish, INAAY not only displays J-S.A.N.D.’s growth as an individual, but his growth as an artist as well. Deviating from his signature loop-based production style (employed on his previous efforts), J-S.A.N.D. combines hard-hitting, bass-heavy production with his signature one-two punch of witty lyricism and introspection, creating a cocktail of pure self-reflection. IT’S NOT ALWAYS ABOUT YOU is the new sound of self-awareness.
