One of the biggest things I've missed is the ability to see live shows. I'm happy they are coming back but not only as an artist, but as a fan, I missed going to shows to listen and feel the music. My favorite venue of all time is the Blue Note in NYC. I've seen countless shows there (Skyzoo, The Roots, Robert Glasper, Statik Selektah) and not only has it inspired my own live performance, it shows me how special that venue is to the history of music. My goal for this song was to channel that exact energy I feel into one of my own songs. Ewonee allowed me to do so over this beat.
