JaySwifa has been a force within hip-hop culture for over the years now. Growing up in Columbus, Ohio he jay soon would find his footing as one of the members in the esteemed rap group, Fly Union. Over the years he would have the chance to tour with Kendrick Lamar, collaborate and trade verses with heavy hitters in the industry like Pusha T and Big Sean, and land placements in popular media outlets as well as a spot on the NBA 2k14 soundtrack.While Jay put the midwest on his back, he eventually would need a break to redefine himself as an artist. When the group split up in 2014, he would go on to experiment with his sound more than ever as he took the hip-hop genre to new areas. Merging it with funk, soul, electronic, alternative rock, and everything else in between.
