A mid tempo groove with folk style guitars blended perfectly with African percussion; Onitemi meaning "mine", is a recognition of love given to the singer by the girl he is enamored with. He sings ever so soothingly and soulfully to let her know that just as she has constantly made known her love for him to the world, he too loves her and promises to do right by her. The African percussions are like mild rapid heartbeats that help convey the sweet running of emotions akin to teenagers or first loves that the singer feels for his Onitemi. With talking-like melodically crafted guitar solos that reinforces the song's story-like composition, it is a confession of love by the singer to his lover. Onitemi sets the listener on a soothing journey from the first verse giving a floating feeling.
