"Call Me" is an Afrobeat/Afropop track born from the idea of emotional detachment where you stop fighting for love and accept that "it is what it is." I wanted a strong contrast between the sound and message. So while the lyrics are bittersweet, the mid-tempo drums and melodic piano give the the overall beat a vibey feel. The track is sung primarily in English, blended with Twi in the chorus and a touch of Nigerian Pidgin in the second verse. It's my hope that listeners can hear pieces of their own stories whenever they press play.
