‘Pressure’ is Zelani’s first soca release ushering in the 2019 Antiguan Carnival Season. This single tells a tale which each and every soca-loving, fete-going West Indian would know too well. Life may bring to us a range of obstacles and challenges which sometimes may get the better of us. However, during carnival time we are able to separate ourselves from these issues and truly have fun. Stress, debt, divorce, and even knuckle become a thing of the past. The pulsating effect of soca music coursing through our veins grants us the power to break free while the atmosphere of euphoria allows us to wholeheartedly celebrate our emancipation. The festival facilitates an environment in which West Indians can revel united as one as they indulge themselves into this indigenous experience and release the pressure.
