JELENKE (Gently) is a simple melodic line composed over the notable primary chords – I, IV & V7 composed sometime around year “2011” well grounded in the JAZZ styles & Western folk tunes. The theme of “JELENKE” was conceived during my harmony class with the students at the Diploma level in which I further expanded to a melody. I performed JELENKE with my band in June, 2012 in a concert tagged “SAX ENSEMBLE ONE” which featured massive and notable artistes like Eljazz, Mike Aremu, Late Baba Y.S. etc. The DVD of this live recording sold more than a thousand copies even beyond Africa.
