Nina is a track that was written after two young men were shot on the street behind Heath’s house. As a black man, this is reality you have to come to grips with when living in the inner city. Nina is a track that battles the ideas of not resorting to gun violence but having “the stick” or “Nina” in case shit gets sticky. Heath explores alternative hip-hop and bedroom-pop to make a cohesive sound for the track but stays authentic to himself.
