“Wa Do Ghe” came from a place of pride and reflection. I wanted to create something that felt like a conversation between my roots in Benin and my reality in London. The phrase “Wa Do Ghe” means ‘come see’ in Edo. It's a call to witness how life really is. The first verse introduces the raw, street-level honesty of growing up in Benin to the London audience while the second verse defines my purpose in London and sharing the not so rosy experience to the Benin audience.
