We all know that the original Genghis Khan was a badass Mongolian emperor who almost took over the world during ancient times. Genghis was ruthless in his conquests and spared no living thing, not even a family of kittens. Fast forward to present day and Genghis Khan is an MC/producer out of Greensboro, NC who keeps that tradition of brutality alive on The Violence Effect. Originally making its debut in 2008, The Violence Effect has been re-released for those who missed out on the opportunity six years ago. With a culmination of tracks recorded between 1999-2008, this album gives listeners a chance to hear Genghis’s history on wax. With that said, one can expect nothing less than unapologetic hardcore hip hop. -Shutter 16 Magazine
