In a year when we were all forced to take a look at ourselves, Free Party decided to use this time to self-assess. The album title “Mirrors in A Dark Room '' works multiple ways. It speaks to those moments when you don’t want to see yourself, & you don’t want to be alone but the world forces you to stop & take a look at yourself in the way we had to due to this worldwide pandemic. At the other end of the spectrum the title speaks to that quest to find yourself & really know yourself, but not being fully able to because of being caught in all the noise, the glitz, & facades of the world that aren’t truly important to self development. The mirrors are relative, they shift from person to person. For some it could be instagram, books, music, essentially anything that breeds reflection.
