Can also be described as a restoration to life or consciousness, in this case, the spiritual life of an individual and people. Revival is not just about some meeting you attend or something that happens because of a great man or woman of God. The real revival is when God’s people realize their need to be spiritually restored and revitalized in their walk with Jesus. Revival often begins with people coming under deep conviction and crying out in confession and repentance for their sins. Revival does not occur outside of the atmosphere of worship and prayer.
