MC/vocalist Pearl Gates returns with "Rocks Right Now". Straight raw boom-bap replete with dusty drums, sinister string loop and filtered xylophone, Gates goes for the jugular. The video shows the MC in his native Washington Heights, NY engaging in the street activities he used to before his music career. Speaking on the track Pearl Gates said "I’m talking on past experiences I had, however I’m using the drug game as a metaphor for taking over the rap game". The track is the first leak from the forthcoming full-length album "Live From The First", which will drop via Below System Records on October 20th on digital and CD. Some notable features who appear on the album include Torae, Geechi Suede (of Camp Lo) and Cassidy.
