When underground rap veterans Tony Dangler and Illy Amin — known together as Fly Boyz — linked up with eccentric producer and comedic rapper SickSkrk, the chemistry was undeniable. Not just collaborators, but real-life friends, the trio came together with one mission: make music purely for the joy of it. The result? Friends Day, an 8-track burst of creativity, humor, and good vibes. Born out of spontaneous energy and recorded in just one week, Friends Day is a refreshing pivot from the usual grit of the underground. With six of the tracks produced by SickSkrk in tandem with the Fly Boyz, the project blends clever lyricism with playful beats, tapping into everything from boom bap nostalgia to offbeat experimental loops —all while never taking itself too seriously!
