Osimhen was born from Finess' desire to capture the energy of the Lagos party in its purest form. After the introspective delivery of his previous single Illuminate, he knew his next move needed to be a complete 180, something that would make people move before they even realized they were dancing. The creative process began with Finess immersing himself in the sounds that define contemporary Lagos: the pulse of Amapiano percussion merged seamlessly with Afrobeats rhythms. Drawing inspiration from Victor Osimhen's incredible footballing abilities and the footballer's connection to Lagos party culture, Finess made lyrics that celebrate living to the fullest without forgetting authenticity.
