GOWON is where everything started and through this album I will take listeners along my journey to becoming Fije the artist. This album discusses poverty, hardship, love, sex, and brings you to my new beginnings. It’s a combination of different sounds from Afrobeats all the way to Dancehall. I came to America with a dream to play professional football but life always brings unexpected changes and you never know what God has in store. Growing up and even till today I’ve been influenced by many amazing artists such as Fela, Asa, Bob Marley, 2Face, Femi Kuti, Wizkid, Burna, Chronixx, Lauryn Hill , Olamide, Davido and the list goes on. My first official project/album drops July 16th and I’m really excited to share this with the world. I hope it inspires everyone that listens. Bless.
