I made this song originally for an EU-sponsored competition about gender-based violence, but it didn’t get accepted. Still, the story in it was too real to just leave sitting on my hard drive. So I’m releasing it now, on November 21st, on the day of the Women’s Shutdown, because the message matters more than the contest. This track speaks for the women who’ve been hurt, the women who stayed quiet, and the women still fighting to be heard. This is my way of saying: we see you, we hear you, and your pain deserves more than silence.
