Making a comeback with his first musical offering of 2022, Egbezi returns with a track labeled 'Tension'; employing the services of Shola - a highly skilled emcee who is also a native Warri. Tension is a fine blend of Fela's Afrobeat sound & traditional Hip-Hop. Accompanying the catchy hook, heavy guitars & the hard hitting drums, are troubled tales of the rising insecurity & harsh living conditions being witnessed in the nation. From the lines: "my cousin sist' was short by Fulani herdsmen" in Egbezi's verse, one could easily tell what the inspiration behind the music is. And with the message in the outro urging his fellow Nigerian citizens to go get their PVC & vote in the country's forthcoming general elections, the purpose of the song is clearly defined.
