(IN)VISIBLE MAN, inspired by Oklahoma’s own Ralph Ellison and his iconic book Invisible Man, is a compilation hip-hop album that features Oklahoma artists only. (IN)VISIBLE MAN was recorded in two days, and mixed/mastered by the engineering great, Jacc Spade. The only direction Dr. View gave to the artists for the album was in the form of one question: How do you make the invisible, visible (sonically, lyrically, transitionally, thematically) throughout an entire album? Like Ellison, (IN)VISIBLE MAN utilizes music and culture to create pockets of expression that are unapologetically and adamantly Black. It is a re-consideration of America, pulling from the roots of trauma and triumph to create riding music that is distinctively and celebratedly Black Oklahoma. Black Wall Street is back!
