I wrote “Ekene Diri Chukwu” from a real place in my life. 🖤🎶 I wrote this song after my oga sent me away from apprenticeship. After everything I had done for him, being let down really hurt. I felt like the person I trusted had turned his back on me. But they thought I wouldn’t move forward without them. They thought they were my only hope in life. They thought sending me away would be the end of my journey. But I had to remind myself: they are not God. 🙏🏾 People can disappoint you. People can reject you. People can close doors in your face. But when God is with you, one closed door cannot stop your destiny. Ekene Diri Chukwu means "Thanks be to God.
