Selfless tells the story of a relationship from the perspective of one person after their loved one is deported to South America. Following months in detention and a forced flight south, their bond is reduced to an open phone line—surviving through missed calls, blocked numbers, and restless nights. As the narrator’s own life unravels through job loss and isolation, they absorb their partner’s anger, fear, and survival struggles thousands of miles away. Rather than walking away, the narrator sheds their pride, supports their partner from afar, and plans to leave everything behind to move south. Across six tracks, Selfless captures what it means to hold onto someone when everything else has collapsed, proving that distance and borders cannot sever their bond.
