Song A Week #12 - SAW 23 - prompt: Liger I wasn't sure that I could work with this prompt (FYI, a liger has a lion father and tiger mother). But then I related it to the oppressive laws that have been coming out against the personal sovereignty of gender identification, and off I went... Disclaimer- I do understand that gender identity is more complex and quite different than this metaphor. The metaphor for me, when I started writing this, was mostly related to non-binary folks, not fitting strict binary gender identification. Anyway, please excuse my poetic license and the imperfection of the analogy. Commentary is most welcome.
