The Declaration is more than a song to me, it’s a reflection of what my brother and I both believed in: the power of the tongue, the power of speaking life, and the power of choosing your own truth before the world ever validates it. His voice in the intro isn’t just a moment; it’s a message. It’s the way he always spoke confidence over me, over himself, and over the people he loved. He believed in using his words to build, to uplift, and to remind us that greatness starts from within.

He taught me that your voice is your first source of strength, and that waiting for the world to approve you is the quickest way to lose yourself. I carry that lesson with me every day, and it’s woven into every line of this track.
I wrote The Declaration during a time when I had to relearn how to speak life into myself. For years, I dimmed my light, held back my truth, and waited for permission to be seen.
