One call away” is probably a shortened version of “one phone call away.” Rather than being a certain physical distance “away” from someone (as in “one kilometer away” or “one train stop away”), being “one call away” (or “one text away” or “one message away,” etc.) from a person means that all you have to do is call that person once, and you’ll be in communication with that person. Saying, “If you need help, I’m just one call away” sends basically the same message as, “If you need help, all you have to do is make one phone call to me.”
