I almost gave a naysayer the satisfaction of seeing me give up on my songwriting and a singing dream. It was 12:45 AM, and I had to walk back to the house, because I had spent my last money to pick a car to the sound engineer’s studio/home. He was very disrespectful towards me, and also treated me as if I did not exist. I will never forget when I couldn’t stop myself from crying – while walking by the roadside, late in the night. I found myself in an uncomfortable state, questioning whether or not my dream was even worth pursuing. The actions of some dream-stealers can infiltrate your life negatively, to the extent of self-doubt. It was in that moment that I wrote this song. Your dreams are valid, and very much awake inside you. Question is, are you determined enough to achieve them?
