The first time I heard Gunna’s Skybox record, my reaction was “This is different…” and after having it on repeat for a couple weeks, I thought it would be fun to experiment with a remix. With this track I really tried to step away from what you’d expect out of a trap Hip-Hop remix, and I leaned into the strong triplet groove of the original record on the verses and a euphoric, summertime friendly drop. I’ve felt really lucky to be inspired during this stay at home period and I’ve been writing a ton of music for my project that I can’t wait to share with you guys over the summer. For now I hope this one makes your day a bit better and brings back some of those warm weather vibes I know we’re all ready for 🌊
