“Desire” is a 3 song EP that almost didn’t see the light of day. It starts off with a banger called “Profit” where Daphne delivers a unique flow and melodies that sets her apart from the modern day noise. The EP titled track “Desire” is perhaps the most ear catching. It samples a classic 2 pac record that doesn’t disappoint. It feels like you’re in a hip-hop time machine that’s moving from past to present. Here Daphne vents about a static relationship that’s bringing more than enough confusion and pain. The EP ends with a more melodic and reflective mood with “Something Real” where Daphne obsesses over the flawed world we live in today. Clearly She’s in a lane of her own and isn’t afraid to ride it until the wheels fall off.
