A young new artist has a lot to say about his vices in his newest single ‘I Cared’; a catchy bubblegum rnb track with slinky guitars and melodic flow. The song came out of a journal entry to past exes & friends who’ve demonized his character after a breakup. What happens when everyone thinks you didn’t do enough in a relationship when in actuality you were the only person who cared throughout. The pop structure was inspired by Y2K boybands (i.e *NSYNC & B2K) with personal ‘lover boy’ lyrics meant to express the feelings of hurt and betrayal; reminiscent of early Drake or later Justin Bieber.
