The song began as an expression of a weird, yet creative mood I had that I took advantage of and came up with the vintage piano triads. Because it was written before and during the current isolation, it has a combination of sadness and happiness to it, starting "sadly" and ending a bit more positively. As for the song's name, Euphotic is the layer or zone of sea water that receives enough sunlight for photosynthesis to occur :)
