PORT ELIZABETH, SOUTH AFRICA – Raw, young talent is sprouting all over the music community, and CRAY (a microbiology student when he isn’t making music) is certainly a candidate for that category. His latest project, Lostboi The Mixtape consists of Lil Peep and GothboiClique like elements, striving to be somewhat unique but yet raw and true in this ever-diversifying world of hip-hop. The 12-track project is not your typical ‘rap’ or ‘trap’ mixtape, instead it borrows sounds from the punk rock and punk rap scene in the US. With his sad punk-like sound, CRAY clearly takes inspiration from the likes of Lil Tracy and Coldhart, even putting his own special twist a couple of Lil Tracy songs.
