‘Here Waiting’ is Clem Appleby’s first official release in anticipation of his debut EP being dropped later in the year. Recorded in his home studio, the track was meticulously built up with his singular approach to production. Each snare and kick individually recorded and resampled, using two old digital ‘toy’ keyboards. It’s a warm, uplifting look at existential anxiety, glued together by thickly layered soulful harmonies and a tight electronic groove.
