This song turned out to be one of my personal favorites with a style I’m definitely going to revisit, and it happened to also be a cover song! It started when I randomly overlaid the Don’t Stop Believin’ vocals on top of the cello from “Down You’ll Go by Fires Below”, and then after converting both of them to a slowed down triplet rhythm, I started to get pretty excited about the idea. After sprinkling in a bit of inspiration from some of Labrinth’s songs and blending two of my favorite vocalists’ voices together, it ended up becoming, in my opinion, one of the most unique cover songs I’ve done.
