In this track "Summertime", Michele covers the Gershwin tune sung by Etta Moten Barnett, the first black star to sing at the White House almost 100 years ago. Chrisette Michele was the last black woman to sing at the White House this winter for Barack Obama. He ended his term entering Chrisette on his Summertime Playlist. She caused much controversy singing gospel music at the recent Inaugural Ball.
