Chris O'Bannon is already creating a legacy as decades still stretch ahead of him - Bay Area based artist Chris O’Bannon has created a sound that evokes both hip-hop and R&B with respect to his Compton, California, roots, but he’s finding his own distinct path in his ongoing evolution as a songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and vocalist. The 23-year- old O’Bannon’s latest EP, Trucolors, envisions the spectrum of emotions from elation to anguish that surge through the last days of a relationship, and his fearlessness—wide-stretching vocals, distorted guitars and humble, cascading pianos—reveals a unique maturity and rare insight into the human heart.
