Unique, Distinctive, Inimitable and Rare are words used to describe Joel Smith aka Chekx, born April 10, 1989 at the Victoria Jubilee Hospital in Kingston, Jamaica. Chekx musical influences include Bob Marley, Tupac, Sizzla Kalonji, Buju Banton, Bugle, Bounty Killer, Vybz Kartel, Mavado and Aidonia. He later delved into music professionally at the age of 30 releasing this first official release titled ‘Prayer’ released on my birthday on 04/10/2020 along with the Lyric Video and Official Music Video and listed on all major music digital distribution platforms.
