“Vanity”, the second song for my upcoming debut album “Basics”, was an experiment and is very different from my other songs. It's a danceable song that puts you in a good mood, accompanied by various synths (including a marimba), and the lyrics has a special meaning: It's about a female person who seems to be cold and untouchable - Even a little arrogant. But nobody can see what's actually behind it - It's the broken heart of this person who built up a protective wall because of experiences. A kind of mask that she puts on to hide her vulnerable side. The message is that we should never judge others. Often we only see the facade, but we don't know the story behind it - So let's be kind to each other and spread peace and love in this world !
